Essence of Citronella essential oil, Sri Lanka 10 ml

A highly concentrated essential oil with a distinctive sharp fresh aldehydic fragrance reminiscent of lemon with a floral clove note. This pharmaceutical quality essential oil is suitable for external use only. Just a few drops of essential oil can help relieve migraine or cold symptoms.

Compared to Java-type citronella essential oil, this essential oil has a lower citronellol content and a higher geraniol content than Java-type, which translates into lower dermal and inhalation irritation and a milder fragrance. Due to the presence of (E)-methylisoeugenol, which is absent in the Java type, it has a pleasant clove-floral note.

Effects: relief of migraine and cold symptoms, soothing and antiseptic effects

Uses:

Inhalation: 2 drops of essential oil for colds and headaches
Bath: 4 drops of essential oil in water warm to 37 °C has antiseptic and soothing effects
Other: repellent effects
Sauna: 5-10 drops (depending on the size of the sauna) after dilution with water (lukewarm water) use to water the sauna stones Drip the essence diluted with water into a vaporizer. Drip the essence on the ice balls, place the ball on the stones.

Ingredients: ronelal 5 - 15 %, geraniol 18 - 29 %, citronellol 5 - 10 %, limonene 9 - 11 %, methyl isoeugenol 7 - 11 %.

Method of obtaining the essential oil:The distillation of the essential oil is carried out using the aerial part of the grass, which is cut about 5 cm above the surface and distilled with water vapour after a drying time of about 8 hours
